I photographed Hannah from this band a few months ago as part of a g3 Steampunk review, loved her music, bought the album. Now they’re my favourite Brighton band, talented, lovely and fun.

Hannah asked me to photograph their single launch at The Marlborough, sorry for the delay, glad the photos are up now ahead of their album launch this Thursday…fb event ‘The Bear’s Revenge’ http://on.fb.me/Jlug24 Before they are due to support Mumford & Sons.

Their folk music is dark & beautiful, I hope my pix reflect that. The gig was packed & they put on a great show. Managed to get some more friends hooked.

Forgotten Film

Just developed what was in my minolta and found this…when I assisted my friend Pete Emery on an artists shoot, in the Marlborough Little Theatre. Me and little dog took some photos of the shoot, which later went into Oskar Bright film festival.

I reviewed this night for a magazine in Dec (p73) and I came back for more on Sat night. It’s strange and sexy neo-Victorian bizarre burlesque and boylesque. Hosted by the camp, colouful chappie, Tarik.

This month we were treated to strange Sam Chara, beautiful Bitter Ruin, boylesquer British Heart, dancing siren Billie Rae…and an entertainer the Empire would be proud of Professor Elemental.

The theatre upstairs in the Marlborough was rammed, so getting in early for April 7th is a must, you can treat yourself to the Hidden Steampunk Market from 5pm and drinking in the downstairs bar. Adv tickets £6.50.

More info on Tarik’s mailing list here.
