My first exhibition gave me a wonderful feeling of completeness when I printed my work and displayed it for the first time…Even though this work, unlike my commercial photography, doesn’t have to answer to anyone, I still had closure when the viewers understood what I was doing with this kind of photography, turning it into painting.
These are some photos of the shoot, not ones exhibited, but they give you a sense of what we were up to. Click to enlarge.
Alex painting Beth
Alex’s drawings of Beth
I photographed artist Alex Burrows-Mcgill, painting a performance of Beth Radish, at my Studio 13. The photos I took were inspired by the atmosphere of these 2 artists, that worked at ease together. Beth’s performance was messy & fun, so were Alex’s paintings.
The photos above are part of that collection, ‘Painting the Female Nude’ more of which were exhibited at the Brighton Media Centre for part of ‘Introducing…’ an exhibition showcasing local up and coming artists. To be involved with them contact Beth firstname.lastname@example.org.
Just developed what was in my minolta and found this…when I assisted my friend Pete Emery on an artists shoot, in the Marlborough Little Theatre. Me and little dog took some photos of the shoot, which later went into Oskar Bright film festival.
I took Diana around with me during xmas, she was with us for present unwrapping in leeds, in the cotswolds with family and when Angie cam to stay in dec and we took photos on the pier with a slow shutter rides.
